Ask Joseph 'How Can I Stop A Behaviour That I Believe Defines Me?'
I received the following mail via Facebook with a great question:
"I just wanted to ask your advice. As I have mentioned I have suffered from anorexia for many years now and I have come to the point where although not severely underweight I am still a slave to many of the driven compulsions of the illness - mainly exercise. My husband and I now feel it is time as you say for massive, inspired action which sadly means I think it is time to quit the gym and my classes altogether to disassociate exercise with weight loss/maintenance of a very low weight....... Understandably I am terrified about this and the effect it will have on my body - how can I process this/feel better about myself? It is in essence taking away all that I currently value myself by.
I hope you can help x thank you again for your inspiration!"
So here is my answer and also two processes on how you can transform your relationship and association to any behaviour you wish to stop.
